Last of the Summer Wine
We hope you will have received the flyer (left, click for full-size) to inform you of our “Last of the summer wine evening” at the Village Hall on Saturday 17th September.
We have the wonderful Kitchen 51, providing delicious plentiful food by way of chicken or veg burritos, beeftacos, guacamole, salsa, sour cream, handmade tortilla chips… and Chocolate Cake for dessert. There will be Gluten Free tortilla chips and chocolate cake and the first drink is also included in your ticket price.
Now that we have an alcohol licence, we can also sell drinks and at competitive prices.
We are in a time of increasing costs everywhere and the event organisers propose a reduced ticket price of £25 per person for anyone who books by 1st September. After that, tickets will be £30 as advertised.
To suit our Mexican theme, we encourage you to wear your sombrero and prepare for a night of tequila and delicious food! We would love to see as many of you as possible. Tickets must be purchased before 14th September via PayPal (send to kaarin.goodburn@gmail.com) or cash (see flyer) - Please let us know of your food choices when you book so that we can let Kitchen 51 know. All details are on the flyer, attached.

Queen's Wake
On Monday the 19th of September at 5pm Medbourne Sports Club would like to invite villagers and visitors to a wake to celebrate the life of our blessed Queen Elizabeth 11. Food will be provided on a Bring and Share basis for the evening.

Senior's Lunch Club
How the club runs:-
- It is generally always the last Thursday in the month and we ask that you confirm you are attending by the previous Friday, as we collect the shopping on the Monday/Tuesday, so it is helpful know the numbers by then.
- You can ring Mike on 01858 565377 or 07720 133233 or Gail on 01858 565430 and if not in please leave a message.
- There is no joining fee and the dinners cost £5 for a main meal, dessert and tea/coffee.
- If anyone would like to join the club please contact either by phone or email equestrians@btinternet.com and we can forward a registration form.
