Medbourne Treasure Hunt
On Sunday 8 September the Uppingham and District Twinning Association will be running a fundraising walking Treasure Hunt around Medbourne. Any local residents are warmly welcomed to take part. You do not need to be a member of the association.
Between 2.30pm and 2.45pm, please come to Medbourne Village Hall and you will be sent off in different directions.
The Treasure Hunt would be best done in twos or threes. If you are an individual and would like the organiser Henry Dawe to pair you up with another individual or with a couple in advance, please just let him know. Otherwise Henry can join you on to an existing team on the day.
The cost will be £10 per person, payable on the day in cash or by cheque to Uppingham Twinning Association. This will cover entry into the Treasure Hunt and the Afternoon Tea of sandwiches, scones and cakes kindly being prepared by Medbourne WI and on offer from 4pm.
If you wish to take part, please let Henry know by Sunday 25 August by sending him an e-mail to hcpd2@cantab.net or by telephoning him on 01572 823629.
The walk is a gentle one but if you would rather not take part in the Treasure Hunt and would prefer to come only for the tea from 4pm, that is fine. Please just let Henry know by Sunday 25 August.
The cost for that would be £6.
